How Did This Accident Occur?

Hit-and-run accidents are prime examples of why it is best to wait before reaching conclusions about who is to blame for a car accident.

It is probably reasonable to assume that the driver’s decision to flee the scene of the crash is some kind of tacit admission of guilt, but what if the car had some kind of problem with its brakes or steering mechanism? I’ll admit that probably isn’t too likely, but investigators owe it to those affected by this crash to assemble a full picture of what happened near this intersection. If police can’t provide those answers, maybe the family should bring in an independent investigator.
