How Did This Accident Occur?
In my line of work, I try to keep an open mind when trying to figure out how an accident happened. Most people probably would assume a crash like this was caused by driver error or fatigue, but what if the pickup swerved to avoid another vehicle or an object in the road? What if the GMC had a problem with its brakes or steering mechanism? Questions like this can only be answered by a full investigation.
Authorities will work to reconstruct this accident by poring over physical evidence, vehicle data, witness statements and available video footage, while cell phone records could show what the driver was doing at the time. A qualified expert should examine the pickup if investigators suspect a mechanical issue contributed to this crash.
This investigation should give the GMC driver and his family a clear picture of what happened on County Road 13.
