Jefferson County, TX — December 2, 2022, Greggory Jackson was killed due to a single-vehicle accident that occurred along Walden Road.
Investigators said that the incident happened at around 11:00 p.m. off the ocrner of Walden Road and Smith Road.
Authorities said that 44-year-old Greggory Jackson was in a Mitsubishi Outlander traveling northbound along Smith Road. For reasons not currently confirmed, the vehicle lost control and ran off-road. There, the vehicle overturned into a ditch.
Jackson sustained fatal injuries in the crash. Initial details don’t mention anyone else being involved in the crash. The cause of the crash cannot be confirmed at this time.

One of the parts of this job that I find people are surprised to hear time and time again is just how complex single-vehicle wrecks can be. A crash like this can involve things like mechanical defects, tire blowouts, road hazards, medical emergencies, missing road signs or poor lighting, etc. If authorities haven’t been thorough enough, they, like many, could jump to conclusions and miss something important. That’s why I do what I can to remind people about the importance of considering all possible factors. If nothing else, the victim’s loved ones deserve to know they’re getting the full story.
