Benbrook, TX — January 2, 2026, Gordon Burditt was killed as the result of a house fire accident that happened around 9:15 p.m. on Duane Street.
According to initial details about the accident, it took place at a home off the corner of Vernon Castle Avenue and Winscott Road.
It appears that fire and rescue teams arrived on scene to find the home already on fire. After containing the fire, authorities say that 73-year-old Gordon Lee Burditt was found deceased. There did not appear to be anyone else injured by the fire.
Investigations are ongoing at this time.

Electrical work, rental property maintenance, potential appliance defects, botched installation or repair work, gas leaks, etc. Likely or not, the victim’s loved ones deserve to know all possible factors have been thoroughly explored and at least ruled out.
