Sarasota County, FL — February 17, 2026, a man was fatally injured due to an 18-wheeler versus pedestrian accident at 8:55 a.m. on I-75.
Initial statements on the accident say it happened near Clark Road, near Sarasota Springs, along southbound lanes of the interstate.
It appears that the victim was a 64-year-old man who was outside of a vehicle along the shoulder on I-75. The man reportedly crossed paths with an approaching 18-wheeler, and the 18-wheeler struck the pedestrian, killing him.
