Mottville Township, IN — April 12, 2023, Eric Herald was killed in a collision with an 18-wheeler around 9 p.m. on U.S. Hwy. 12 in Mottville Township.
According to authorities, the victim’s Mercedes was eastbound while a semi-truck was westbound when the two vehicles collided head-on. The impact reportedly caused the passenger vehicle to catch fire.
Mr. Herald suffered fatal injuries while the truck driver was reportedly uninjured.
Investigators have not released what factors led up to the accident.
