How Did This Accident Occur?

Vehicles veer off of the road every single day for uncountable reasons. However, I would like to bring attention to something that might seem a little out of left field; just bear with me a moment. In this instance, I’d like to focus not on the fact that the truck left the roadway and crashed, but on the fact that the driver of the truck did not survive an accident that might have been survivable.

You can let me know in the comments if you think I’m way off base, but what if this victim would have survived the wreck had it not been for a product defect? Please don’t misunderstand; I don’t know anything more about this accident than has already been presented to the public. But I have been doing this job long enough to know that, sometimes, people would have lived through a wreck had safety systems worked the way they were designed.

The seatbelt, for example. It’s one thing if a truck driver who was not wearing a seatbelt crashes into a tree and loses their life. It is a different matter, entirely, if a seat belt was being properly worn and the driver still lost their life, don’t you agree? I hope that the investigators think to check into the possibility of product defects having a hand in the loss of this truck driver’s life. When all is said and done, the loved ones left behind by the victim deserve to know the whole truth, not bits and pieces.
