San Marcos, TX — August 24, 2026, Dorothy Villegas was killed in a car accident at about 10:30 p.m. on Interstate 35/Monarch Highway.

A preliminary accident report indicates that a 2020 Ford F-150 was heading northeast when it crashed into a woman in a motorized conveyance near East McCarty Lane.

The woman, 24-year-old Dorothy Villegas, died from injuries suffered in the crash, according to the report.

The Ford driver, 27, and the 20-year-old woman riding with him were not hurt, the report states.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Hays County crash at this time.
