How Did This Accident Occur?
This crash could be the result of driver error or fatigue, but what if it isn’t?
What if the SUV accelerated unexpectedly? Did it have an issue with its steering mechanism? Were its brakes functioning properly?
In my career, I’ve seen crashes that were the result of mechanical issues that wouldn’t have been discovered without a careful examination the vehicles involved. That may require an independent investigation, if authorities aren’t up to the task.
