How Did This Accident Occur?
There’s simply not enough information to draw any conclusions here. With any work-related accident, though, it’s important steps are taken early to gather and preserve as much evidence as possible. A lot of people make the mistake of thinking OSHA handles all of that. However, OSHA has their own goals they worry about, and the needs of a worker’s loved ones depend on having as much evidence telling the story as possible. Texas has more complex work fatality laws than any other state in the country. So, the more evidence a family has, the more effectively they can navigate that legal maze. After all, the victim isn’t here to tell their side of the story. It’s only right to ensure there’s as much evidence as possible doing that for them.
