Lampasas County, TX — April 14, 2023, Daniel Alfred Redding was injured in an alleged hit-and-run truck accident around 10:05 a.m. on U.S. Hwy. 190 in Lampasas County.
According to officials, Mr. Redding’s Jeep Wrangler was eastbound behind a dump truck when the truck attempted a U-turn and collided with the Wrangler. The impact reportedly forced the victim’s Jeep to skid sideways into the westbound traffic lane and overturn onto its driver’s side. The dump truck continued eastbound, then the driver abandoned the dump truck and fled in a personal vehicle.
Mr. Redding was taken to a hospital with purportedly incapacitating injuries.
Police have not released any recommended charges against the truck driver at this time.
