How Did This Accident Occur?
All it takes is for one domino to fall to set off a chain-reaction crash. Something as minor as a sudden lane change, poor road conditions, a tire blowout, a defect, fatigue, or distraction could have set these events into motion. The key thing for investigators to do is let the evidence speak for itself. That means considering all possible factors and not simply focusing narrowly on only the more common factors.
I get calls all the time from folks involved in a serious crash whose number one concern is that authorities aren’t being fairly considering all possibilities. When that happens, it’s only reasonable people would reach out to an independent professional who they feel will focus on the facts rather than looking for someone to blame. If authorities can show they’re taking the time to look at this story from all angles, that would be a good sign. It’s just not the sort of thing anyone should take for granted.
