Austin, TX — May 1, 2023, two people sustained injuries as the result of a two car accident along the U.S. Highway 183 toll road.
Details released by Austin-Travis County EMS officials say that the incident took place along southbound lanes of the tollway in the area of the ramp to westbound East Ben White Boulevard.
Right now, exact details regarding what might have caused the crash remain unclear. Authorities said only that two vehicles collided along the tollway, leaving at least one person trapped in the wreckage. That person was apparently extricated by rescue personnel before being taken to a hospital. Their injuries were described as potentially serious. One other person was said to have minor injuries following the crash and was also taken to a hospital.
