How Did This Accident Occur?

Many people likely would assume the SUV driver is to blame for causing this crash, but in my experience assumptions have no place in accident investigations. They should be based on facts, not guesswork.

Investigations should work to reconstruct this accident using vehicle data, physical evidence, witness statements and available video footage, while cell phone records could show if the driver was texting or interacting with an app at the time.

This investigation should give the bicyclist and her family a clear picture of what caused this accident.
