How Did This Accident Occur?

When most people read about a motorcycle accident like this, they likely will assume the motorcyclist was to blame. That is because most people believe the stereotype that portrays anyone who gets around on two wheels as a reckless daredevil, but that is not accurate, in my experience. Motorcyclists tend to be more safety conscious than other motorists because they understand how vulnerable they are on the road, so this crash deserves a full investigation.

Authorities should use vehicle data, physical evidence, witness statements and available video footage to reconstruct this accident. They also should push for an in-depth inspection of the motorcycle to determine if a mechanical issue or manufacturer’s defect contributed to this crash.

This investigation should answer any lingering questions the motorcyclist’s family has about this accident, or they may opt to have an outside expert look at the evidence.
