According to officials, 28-year-old Andre Moncada was in a Nissan Altima going eastbound on FM 1960. A Toyota Camry reportedly failed to yield, resulting in a crash with the Nissan.
Due to the accident, both Andre Moncada and the Toyota driver sustained serious injuries. Authorities recommended citing the Camry driver. Right now, additional details are unavailable.
How Did This Accident Occur?
Usually, failure to yield at this time of day traces back to distracted driving, fatigue, or alcohol. Could it be something unusual, such as an issue with the roadway or visibility issues? Sure, and that’s why thorough investigations are so important. They’re also important when more complex issues arise. Take drunk driving, for example. As open-and-shut as that may seem, it can lead to investigations into a local alcohol provider if the drunk driver was unlawfully over-served.
So, it’s important that victims and families can be confident in the professionals handling their accident. If they feel all of their questions are being answered, then that’s good. But if details aren’t adding up, and it seems like there might be more to the story, independent investigators may be able to fill in the gaps.
