According to officials, the accident took place in the area of the Highway 78 and Farm-to-Market 6/Lake Road.

Investigators said that 29-year-old Amy Hooper was a passenger in a Chevy Cruze going northbound along the highway. A Ford Ranger was traveling southbound. At the intersection, authorities claim that the Ford failed to yield, leading to a collision with the Cruze.
