Accident Report
August 2, 2026, Amber Taylor and one other were injured after a hit-and-run accident at 3:30 a.m. along I-35E.
According to officials, the crash happened at the intersection of I-35E and Continental Avenue in downtown Dallas.
Investigators said that a 33-year-old man and 32-year-old Amber Taylor were in a Alfa Romeo going westbound. A Nissan Altima was going southbound when, authorities say, it ran the light at the intersection. This led to the two vehicles crashing. Authorities say the Nissan driver then fled the scene.
Due to the crash, Amber Taylor and the driver of Amber’s vehicle were seriously injured. Right now, it’s unclear if authorities have identified the Nissan driver.
How Did This Accident Occur?
Hopefully authorities have made progress behind the scenes looking for the alleged runaway driver here. When I see someone run a light at 3:30 a.m. on a Sunday, it’s a major red flag for possible drunk driving. When that person then flees before police arrive, that only raises my suspicions. The good news is it seems like authorities have the suspect’s vehicle. That usually means it’s just a matter of time before they have a name. If that has yet to happen, though, maybe giving more information to the public could help connect some dots.
