Habersham County, GA — May 2, 2023, an 8-year-old was injured in a collision with a log truck around 3:35 p.m. on Alto-Mud Creek Rd. in Habersham County.

Authorities report the child was a passenger in a Kia Soul when that vehicle allegedly rear-ended the log truck. The victim was flown to a hospital in Atlanta with purportedly serious injuries. No other injuries were reported.

Authorities have not released the cause of the crash at this time.
