Karen Kennedy is an experienced trial lawyer who has won numerous products liability and commercial vehicle accident cases across the state of Texas.
Karen was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Upon graduating high school, she was admitted to the University of Texas in Austin where she earned her bachelors degree Plan II with Special Honors. Plan II is a challenging interdisciplinary curriculum that differs from most honors programs in that its core curriculum is a major with very specific multi-disciplinary course requirements with a strong emphasis on problem solving, critical and analytical skills and writing. Karen then earned her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Baylor Law School in Waco.
Karen began her legal career at the firm of Allison | Associates where her practice consisted of business litigation and complex family law. Karen was then offered an opportunity to join the Ammons Law Firm in Houston, Texas where she practiced personal injury and product defect litigation. Karen’s practice included industrial accidents, trucking cases, and cases involving tire de-tread, rollover or airbag defects. Two cases Karen is most proud of include a jobsite electrocution case settled for $8.2 million and a distracted driving case settled for $15.1 million.
Grossman Law Offices ultimately persuaded Karen to join our team where she is an invaluable part of our operation. Karen is known around the office for her immense knowledge of Texas personal injury and wrongful death law and for her intense drive and focus.
In addition to work, Karen enjoys spending time with her three adult children, cooking, hiking, reading, practicing yoga and traveling.
